Refund Policy

Effective date: 1st of July, 2025

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds will be issued for purchases made on watermeters.io, operated by Water Meter Solutions


Eligibility for Refund

A refund will be issued if the following conditions are met:

  • The return request is initiated within 7 days of delivery.
  • The product is unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging.
  • The item is not a custom-built or special-order product.
  • The product is:
    • Defective, or
    • Incorrectly shipped, or
    • Damaged in transit (must be reported within 48 hours with photos)

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • The product has been installed, damaged, or tampered with after delivery.
  • Return request is made after 7 days of delivery.
  • The product is returned without original box, packaging, or accessories.
  • Custom-configured or special-order items.

Refund Process
1. Initiate a Return:

Email returns@watermeters.io with:

  • Order ID
  • Reason for return
  • Photos or videos (if applicable)
2. Inspection:
  • Once we receive the product, it will be inspected by our technical team.
  • If approved, a refund will be initiated within 5–7 business days.
3. Refund Method:
  • Refunds will be made to the original payment method (UPI, card, bank transfer).
  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, bank details will be collected for refund.
4. Deductions:
  • If the return is due to reasons other than defect/damage, return shipping charges may be deducted.

Exchange or Replacement
  • If you prefer a replacement instead of a refund for a defective product, please mention this in your return request.
  • Replacements are subject to stock availability.
